A cash register is fine for processing simple sales that require the exchange of cash and a receipt. Beyond that, a cash register is extremely limited in its capabilities:
A cash register cannot handle more complex transactions like customer deposits, deliveries, or layaway.
A cash register cannot keep statistics of items sold so that you can view your best selling products later.
A cash register cannot store customer information (name, email addresses, birthdays) so you can improve relationships with your store visitors.
A cash register cannot help you make decisions about what inventory to buy.
A cash register cannothelp you manage your employees.
As you can see, cash registers and even over-simplified Point of Sale systems cannot do much. Thankfully, Smartwerks can handle all of these things (and many more) with ease. If you want to grow your company, it’s time to get rid of the cash register and start making smarter and more effective business decisions.
